RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI MANAJEMEN KASIR BERBASIS WEB PADA SEKTOR USAHA TOKO TENANG PEDAN

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven fundamental transformations in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. Nevertheless, Toko Tenang Pedan still relies on manual transaction recording systems, which frequently trigger operational issues such as human errors, inventory data discrepancies, and inefficient customer service times. This study aims to design, develop, and evaluate a web-based cashier management application (Point of Sale) as a digitalization solution for the store's operational processes. This research utilizes a Research and Development (R&D) method mapped into the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The system was engineered using the PHP programming language and MySQL database management. Software functional testing was comprehensively validated through the Black Box Testing method, while end-user acceptance levels were evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument integrated with transaction duration comparative analysis. The testing results proved that all system functionalities operated perfectly valid. Quantitatively, the system's implementation successfully improved service time efficiency significantly by 76.9%, reducing manual transaction duration from 3 minutes 15 seconds to 45 seconds per transaction. Furthermore, the SUS testing achieved an average score of 85.83, classifying the system in the Excellent (Acceptable) category. It is concluded that the developed web-based cashier management application is highly feasible, remarkably effective in accelerating service duration, and capable of minimizing operational recording errors in MSMEs.
