EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN E-MODUL BERBASIS ETNOMATEMATIKA PADA MATERI GARIS DAN SUDUT KELAS VII SMP/MTs

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of an e-module based on Saronde dance ethnomathematics in improving student learning outcomes in the topic of lines and angles in grade VII of junior high school. The background of this study departs from the need for more contextual, meaningful, and relevant mathematics learning to local culture in the Merdeka Curriculum era. The e-module was developed by integrating Gorontalo cultural elements, especially the movements and floor patterns of the Saronde dance, which contain the concepts of lines and angles. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design without a control group. The research subjects consisted of 25 students of grade VIIF SMPN 1 Kabila in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through a multiple-choice learning outcome test, then analyzed using the N-Gain formula to see the level of improvement in student learning outcomes. The analysis results show an N-Gain value of 0.72 which is included in the high category, and an N-Gain Score of 72.7% which indicates the effectiveness of the e-module is quite effective. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of an e-module based on Saronde dance ethnomathematics is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes in the topic of lines and angles. The integration of digital technology with local cultural contexts has been proven to create more engaging and meaningful learning and support the strengthening of students' cultural identity.
