CONTENT VALIDITY OF A DIGITAL POCKET BOOK INTEGRATING FIQH AND SCIENCE ON THE WOMEN’S BLOOD CYCLE

Abstract

The types of blood discharged from a woman’s uterus are classified into menstruation (haid), postpartum bleeding (nifas), and irregular bleeding (istihadhah). Understanding these categories is essential, as they are closely related to religious obligations as well as reproductive health. However, many female students still experience difficulties in distinguishing them, which often leads to errors in worship practices and in the early detection of health problems. Therefore, the development of a digital pocket book that integrates fiqh and science is considered a strategic solution to enhance students’ literacy, awareness, and understanding of the women’s blood cycle. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The validity of the product was assessed by material experts and media experts through evaluations of content accuracy, language, visual design, layout, and digital functionality. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques by calculating the mean validation scores and comparing them with predetermined validity criteria. The results indicate that the digital pocket book achieved average scores above 4 in all aspects, falling into the category of “highly valid.” Material experts assigned scores ranging from 4.16 to 4.67 for content accuracy, conceptual correctness, and language, while media experts gave scores ranging from 4.16 to 4.67 for visual quality, layout, and digital functionality. Hence, the fiqh–science digital pocket book is deemed feasible as an integrative, communicative, and interactive learning medium.
