EKSPLORASI PENERAPAN STEM DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPAS DI SEKOLAH DASAR: STUDI KASUS DI MI RIYADLUL ULUM

Abstract


Penelitian ini akan membahas implementasi pendekatan STEM dalam pembelajaran IPAS di MI Riyadlul Ulum. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed-method. Pendekatan kuantitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dengan kuesioner dan data kualitatif dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen pembelajaran. Berdasarkan temuan yang ada, sekolah belum sepenuhnya mengintegrasikan STEM ke dalam pembelajaran IPAS; namun, upaya yang signifikan untuk memulai penerapan STEM sudah terlihat jelas. Tantangan utamanya adalah terbatasnya fasilitas, guru yang tidak terlatih, dan kurangnya sumber daya. Namun, patut dicatat bahwa sikap guru dan siswa terhadap penerapan STEM berada pada tingkat yang baik; mereka mengharapkan STEM dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap sains. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sekolah harus memberikan pelatihan yang lebih profesional kepada guru, menyediakan lebih banyak sarana dan prasarana, dan menyediakan kurikulum yang lebih kompatibel untuk mendukung integrasi STEM.
