DEVELOPMENT OF TPACK-BASED E-MODULES ON LABORATORY MATERIALS AND TISSUE CULTURE ACCLIMATIZATION AS LEARNING MEDIA FOR STUDENTS

Abstract


This study aims to develop an e-module based on Technological Pedagogical ContentKnowledge (TPACK) on laboratory materials and tissue culture acclimatization as aninteractive and easily accessible learning medium for students. The method used is Researchand Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, andDisseminate). The research subjects consisted of subject matter experts, learning experts,media experts, lecturers teaching the Tissue Culture course, and Biology Education studentsat the State University of Medan. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, andlearning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test). The validation results showed that the e-module was very feasible to use, with a feasibility score of 90.76% from subject matterexperts, 91.79% from learning experts, and 92.30% from media experts. The response ratefrom lecturers reached 90%, and 89% of students reported that the e-module helped themunderstand the material, while 87% rated the e-module design as attractive and easy to use.The effectiveness of the e-module was tested through N-Gain analysis with an averagelearning outcome increase of 0.71 (high). Thus, this TPACK-based e-module is proven to befeasible and effective as a learning medium in improving students' understanding andlearning outcomes on tissue culture material.keyword: acclimatization; learning outcomes; laboratory; flipbook; TPACK
